Karakter BV is online 05/03Regularly, we run into situations where our Clients wish to hire additional skills and expertise on a temporary basis only.
The reasons for hiring an Interim- Project Manager are diverse: crisis situation, efficiency operations, and strategic sourcing decisions (e.g., outsourcing), organizational changes, special projects, or temporarily minding the shop.
Haselhoff Interim- and Project Management aims at fulfillment of Interim- and Project Management assignments that typically depend on:
- The comprehensive problem solving capabilities of the Interim- Project Manager
- The knowledge, expertise, and experience of change processes
- The tempory nature
- The implementation of structural/strategic changes
- The nature of the responsibility and authority
The positions that we aim to fill on a temporary basis have different characteristics:
Gap Management
Aimed towards continuity by temporarily plugging a critical management gap (“minding the shop”). These positions need to be filled quickly in case of sudden departure, or illness of a manager.
Change Management
Aimed towards re-engineering and/or improvement of business processes, organizations, and systems as well as leading an organization to a new organizational structure/culture.
Crisis Management
Solving imminent problems within organizations and systems.
Project Management
Leading and/or managing business and IT initiatives. For example, the implementation of new business processes and/or information systems.
Benefits of an Interim- and Projectmanager
Somebody from the outside will not be constrained by company politics, personalities, or protocols, hence, will have a bright new look on problems that require an immediate solution. He/she feels no need to build specific credits for one’s own career within the organization. This enables the Interim Manager to remain focused on the critical task at hand, and take any necessary measure to accomplish the assignment. The Interim Manager is overqualified for the job, and can be made available in days with the minimum of recruitment or termination facilities. Track record and performance really count – the Interim Manager is used to being judged by results, so he/she knows how to deliver. Additionally, somebody from the outside brings high levels of credibility, sending a clear message into the organization that its management is dead serious about making major changes in order to solve problems.
Benefits of Interim- and Project Management
Over the past 20 years, Haselhoff Group has built an extensive network of knowledge workers as well as Interim- and Project Managers within the IT business domain. This network is even more extensive through the use of our experienced business partners. So, we are able to respond quickly to specific Interim Management needs and present qualified candidates in days. Speed matters, however, not at the cost of quality. Each candidate presented by Haselhoff Group has been interviewed in person by one of our consultants, and has been checked against the requirements of Interim Management assignments.
In short, it's great to know Haselhoff…
